Annie Yang Zhou (梁周洋)

Annie is the founder and Managing Partner of Universal Pacific Advisors LLC, a cross-border consulting company focused on financial advisory, healthcare, government relations, and cultural exchange. Prior to founding the company, she was a development and research associate with the World Policy Institute, a non-partisan think tank dedicated to solution-focused policy analysis, where she helped to publish a paper entitled “The Water-Energy Nexus: Adding Water to the Energy Agenda.” Previously, Annie was an associate with Neuberger Berman (formerly Lehman Brothers Asset Management) responsible for business development and client services in the Quantitative Investment Group. Prior to Neuberger Berman, she was a derivatives analyst with MetLife Investments.

She earned her MBA from University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she serves as an ambassador, and her BBA from George Washington University. She is also on the International Advisory Committee of Miss Porter’s School.

Annie has had leadership roles in a number of non-profit organizations including The Chinese Finance Association as Co-Director of Public Relations and Media and Teach for China’s Young Advisory Committee. She is a member of the National Committee on US-China Relations.


Jessie Li (李晶卉)

Jessie is a Managing Partner of UPA and specializes in international business and trade relationships between China and the United States and has facilitated multiple business collaborations and investments between large international corporations.

Prior to founding her own firm, Jessie was the Head of Business Development for Beijing New Development Group, where she generated new business opportunities through client relationship building and led several major overseas investment research projects for established Chinese businesses. Jessie was also an International Clients Consultant for New York Private Bank and Trust, where she conducted international financial market research to prepare for the bank’s expansion into the Chinese market, as well as maintained relationships with high net worth clients at the bank.

Jessie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston’s Hilton College in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She is an active volunteer for the Overseas China Education Foundation.
